    Vishwakarma Pooja is celebrated on the 1st of Asoj, i.e. in the form of worship of Baba Vishwakarma, a scholar of construction and technology production and study. Today, the followers of the Vedic Sanatan Hindu religion worship in honor of Baba Vishwakarma in this Vishwakarma Pooja.

Even in today's modern age, most of the garages, factories, manufacturing technology sites and various workplaces active in various metal works in Nepal are decorated and commemorated in honor of the technology and many construction practices and innovations he introduced since the Vedic period. In Vishwakarma Baba's worship, it is customary to set up an idol of Baba and worship it on that day and to ritually integrate that idol in rivers, lakes, and ponds the next day.

    What is Ekadashi?

    The eleventh day of the calendar is called Ekadashi. After the full moon and after the new moon, Ekadashi comes twice a month. The Ekadashi after the full moon is called Krishna Paksha Ekadashi and the Ekadashi after Aunsi is called Shukla Paksha Ekadashi.

    Indira Ekadashi and its importance

    The Ekadashi of Asoj Krishnapaksha is called Indira Ekadashi and welcome to the Indira Ekadashi for this year.

    On the day of Indira Ekadashi, it is customary to worship Vishnurupa Shaligram and make the Shaligram bath in the holy Panchamrit.     According to the mythology, in the Satyayuga, there was a kingdom of a majestic king named Indrasen in the city of Mahishmati. These royals, including their sons and daughters, were full of wealth and were undefeated with their enemies. One day, while the Rajya Sabha of King Indrasen was going on, Maharshi Narad Rishi arrives. When Narad said that he had met Indrasen's father in Yamaraj's Rajya Sabha one day when he reached Yamalok and brought his message, the glorious King Indrasen was amazed at how his father, full of religion, knowledge, and charity, reached Yamalok instead of Swargalok. Narad explained in detail. According to Narad, Indrasen's father was unable to fulfill the patriarchal Indira Ekadashi brat and got left it in the middle towards his attainment of salvation and integration with the supreme entity. After the sage Narad told him so much, King Indrasen observed the fast of Ashwin Krishnapaksha's Indira Ekadashi, this helped his father's soul in its pursuit of salvation.

    In some communities, on this Ekadashi day, they worship Lord Vishnu with incense lamps and feed cows with fruits. It is believed that one should not sleep on the day of Indira Ekadashi. That is why people spend their days after Ekadashi vrat by chanting hymns.

    Pitri Gayatri Mantra:

    Wastu Day is also being celebrated today. The architecturel significance of Wastu is given high importance in the construction of houses, temples, chaitya chautari, and townships. It is an ancient science and sub-veda. There is an Eastern belief that physical infrastructure should be built on the basis of Vishwakarma and the integrals of Wastu architecture. It is mentioned in the Wastu Bidhya that if the architecture is constructed by determining the location and direction of natural greatness, Panchamahabhuta sky, air, fire, earth, and water, then prosperity, health, and all welfare will be achieved from it. Today, more people are interested in architecture than in the past. It has become relevant to make the house building strong and beautiful and to get material comforts. At the same time, the day has been spreading public awareness to create a disaster-resistant house and make it a lifelong home.

    Background:

    The government started celebrating National Science Day on Asoj 1, 2070 BS. The then Prime Minister Dr. The joint government formed under the leadership of Baburam Bhattarai decided to celebrate National Science Day from 2070 BS. Some of its objectives are specified.

    For example, to mobilize individuals and organizations from all sections, communities, and professional sectors of the country to contribute to the field of science and technology and to raise public awareness of science and technology. Similarly, to create an environment in which policymakers from the grassroots play an active role in this process and to work for awareness and campaign-oriented work. In this context, the 'Science-Culture for Prosperity' program is envisaged.


    In 1918 AD, modern science and technology education was started in Nepal from Tri Chandra College. The university was established 31 years later. After this, diversity became institutionalized in both education and research. The role played by TU in ​​the faculties and thematic disciplines including Science and Technology, Medicine, Agriculture, and Animal Science, Forest Science, Engineering, Sociology, Geology, Anthropology, Management, Education, Law, and Humanities is remarkable.

    According to a survey of the state of science and technology conducted by the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) in 2066-67 BS, the government of Nepal has invested 0.38 percent of the gross domestic product. Experts have suggested maintaining it at 1 percent.


    Let's create an environment to invest 1 percent of GDP in research and development. Let's dig mines. Let's encourage research-directed markets and industries. Let's create more employment in science and technology. The retired professor from the university is a think tank. Let's create a culture of transferring their experience to the youth.


    Let's understand the science within the culture. Let's learn Vedic mathematics and modern mathematics. Let's create an environment for teaching traditional technology. Let's preserve and upgrade traditional technology.

    World Patient Safety Day

    World Patient Safety Day (WPSD), one of WHO’s global public health initiatives, continues its vital mission in 2025. Established in 2019 by the Seventy-second World Health Assembly through the adoption of resolution WHA72.6 – “Global action on patient safety” – this day is observed annually on 17 September. It is a pivotal event to promote global health and safety, firmly grounded in the core medical principle: “first, do no harm.” The day aims to raise public awareness, enhance global understanding, and foster solidarity and action among Member States to promote patient safety.

    The World Patient Safety Day is a campaign for all stakeholders in the health care system to work together and share engagement to improve patient safety. World Patient Safety Day 2025 will be observed on 17 September.

    The World Patient Safety Day 2025 theme is "Safe care for every newborn and every child" This theme emphasizes the susceptibility of newborns and children to preventable harm in healthcare settings and calls for targeted efforts to safeguard their health and enhance long-term outcomes.
