    Yogini Ekadashi Vrata (Vaishnava)

    योगिनी एकादशी व्रत (वैष्णवहरूको)

    Exclusive audio

    When is Yogini Ekadashi ?

Yogini Ekadashi falls in the Krishna paksha of Asaramas or the month of Asar.

What is done in Yogini Ekadashi ?

Today, an idol of Lord Narayan is installed by fasting, and is revered. Offering vog means offering food, fruits, Naivedh, etc. It is the broad spectrum of living; Sanatan people consider the idol as a living god and treats it with grain, devotion, and other offerings. People donate to needy people under the grace of that idol, they lighten the incense sticks and also perform Aaratis.

Worshiping Peepal tree on this Ekadashi destroys all sins and attains paradise after death. Peepal is the fairest plant, with its root reaching far, people won't prefer to plant it nearby houses, everyone worships the giant Peepal tree; however, no one fights for its fruit as Peepal fruit is not edible for human. Peepal's wood is not for household purpose, so Peepal brings lesser community greed and quarrel and more communal worship and gatherings underneath.

From the day of Dashmi, any tamasic food, including barley, wheat, or mung bean, is avoided. Apart from that, salt consumption refrained from fasting and one day in advance. Salt consumption accelerates the wandering characteristics of our mind, avoiding salt consumption means stabilizing the mind and bringing peace within.

    Vrata Katha of Yogini Ekadashi

In the kingdom of Alkapuri, Shivaji's supreme devotee Kuber Raja's kingdom, he used flowers in worship. Thus, a gardener named Hemmali used to bring flowers for the worship of the king. One day, Hemamali forgets to bring the daily worship flowers as he was having fun with his wife in Mansarovar.

    World Population Day

    विश्व जनसंख्या दिवस

    Exclusive audio

    Background:

Awareness of global population issues, world population day is observed every year on July 11th. Mainly two things are focused on the celebration, raising awareness on exploding world population and informing about reproductive health and rights are prioritized.

Since 1989, World Population Day has been celebrated on July 11 every year to address population issues around the world.Interestingly, on July 11, 1987, on the occasion of the world's population reaching about 5 billion, the Population Summit announced the celebration of this day.

    Population- Opportunity or challenge?

Controversy has begun over whether population growth is an opportunity or a challenge. Many of us are taught that population growth is bad and needs to be controlled, according to a new curriculum brought to schools by His Majesty's Government in 2056 BS.

But population growth is not always negative, now that the country's future has reached a negative point due to its declining population in the most developed countries of the world, it has created a frightening situation. This is because people are more interested in work, development, and innovation than in reproduction. Maybe, the population day of 2020 will start to advocate on both sides of population growth and address the lower birth rates of the majority of super developed nations in the globe.

The fact is that if the population is small, even a small resource can lead to a quality of life. However, it is the same population that will complete the manpower required for development and prosperity. Without a balanced population, the security, development, and sustainable future of any country cannot be imagined.

    China's example

China, the world's powerhouse and the world's most populous country has adopted a one-child system out of fear of a growing population and has called on its people to allow them to have two children in 2015 after a long study to achieve a population level. Even the Japanese, who have adopted the busiest lifestyle in the world, are encouraged to spend their personal and family time and are inspired to reproduce, while in many other countries there are growing frustrations of a certain level of population and child production. In Nepal, India, and Bangladesh, the population is considered a bonus, meaning that the active population, i.e. 16 to 49, is more than 60 percent of the total population. Unfortunately, the sweat of Nepali manpower is dripping abroad more than at home. Nepali sweat, which can make greenery in the desert of the Gulf, can bring its own green country and create prosperity, but where is the ink stuck in the world of possibility?
