    Phoolpati Special Audio

    The Phoolpati or the saptami.
    Durga Beej Mantra
    ॐ ह्रीं दुं दुर्गाय नमः।
Saptami, the seventh incarnation of Goddess Durga, Kalaratri, has special significance.
    ॐ देवी कालरात्रि नमः

Special Saptami – How does goddess Kalratri look like?
This special day of Saptami is called Phoolpati. On this day, special worship of Goddess Durga's Kalratri form is performed. Black-skinned, black-eyed, with three eyes and four arms, holding a sword, a Masal-bearing ghurmudra, and an Abhay mudra in all four hands respectively. This Goddess killed a demon named "RaktaBeej" which was so powerful that he regained life from every drop of drops of blood falling into the soil.

    कालरात्रि स्तूती मन्त्र ।।
    या देवी सर्वभूतेषु माँ कालरात्री रूपेण संस्थिता
    नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः।।

Mother Ambe, enthroned everywhere as the Goddess Kalratri!
I salute you, give me strength.

    Lingeping from Saptami
From today, traditional Lingeping (Traditional swing made up of green bamboo trees and Khar rope) is established in villages.

The atmosphere in the village is exciting. How many friends, relatives, and loved ones have returned to their villages? Have the city dwellers also returned to the village or not? How many parents, sisters, brothers, and sisters have been waiting with their eyes full of joy.

How boring would our lives be without the holidays? Festivals fill life with a different energy. I will do this after this Dashain, we also have our promises and plans not to do that, let the Dashain fulfill everyone's wish. Happy safe Dashain 2024.

    World Sight Day

World Sight Day, held this year on the second Thursday of October, is an annual event to raise awareness of the importance of good eye care around the globe.

    Context:
We know that 2.2. billion people – a quarter of the world’s population – have a visual impairment. And nearly half of this visual impairment could have been prevented, or could still be avoided. Without urgent and sustainable efforts, the number of people who are blind could reach 115 million by 2050. But this isn’t inevitable.

Globally, £300 billion is lost in productivity each year because of visual impairment and blindness. But on average, across all of Sightsavers’ programs in Africa and Asia, it costs just £2 to £4 for a pair of prescription glasses – a simple solution that has been proven to lead to a significant increase in potential earnings. This solution can change someone’s life.If we are to tackle the global eye health crisis, every one counts and everyone has a part to play. What’s yours?

    World Mental Health day

World Mental Health Day is recognized on October 10 each year, and the official theme for 2024 is 'It is Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace .

    Global statistics of mental health
As many as 1 billion people worldwide are struggling with mental health problems, with over 3 million people dying each year from alcohol abuse alone. The COVID 19 epidemic has created more mental problems and negative and pessimistic thoughts in people around the world. This year's Mental Health Day is very important. Business may be hard or it may be difficult to survive, maybe we are jobless, but after every black cloud, there is a silver lining. We got to live for that lining which shall stimulate our growth and smiles.

It is our responsibility to take special care of those with mental problems and to take the initiative for a healthy and normal lifedwellers also returned to the village or not? How many parents, sisters, brothers, and sisters have been waiting with their eyes full of joy.

Hamro Patro - Connecting Nepali Communities
Hamro Patro is one of the first Nepali app to include Nepali Patro, launched in 2010. We started with a Nepali Calendar mobile app to help Nepalese living abroad stay in touch with Nepalese festivals and important dates in Nepali calendar year. Later on, to cater to the people who couldn’t type in Nepali using fonts like Preeti, Ganesh and even Nepali Unicode, we built nepali mobile keyboard called Hamro Nepali keyboard.
