चैत शुक्ल पूर्णिमा
Loktantra Diwas । Hanuman Jayanti । Poornima Vrata । Baisakh Snan Praarambha । World Book and Copyright Day
Remembering all the known and unknown martyrs
Remembering all the known and unknown martyrs of the People's Movement (Jana Andolan), and all the fighters of democracy, pay tribute to the democratic warriors, thinkers, and soldiers who died in every series of People's War. Due to the great sacrifice and austerity of everyone.
Every Baisakh 11, the golden day in the manifestation of a newer Nepal, is Happy Loktantra Diwas.
Abolition of the royals
The day of the abolition of the royal family and the direct rule of the monarchy with the commencement of the democratic republic of Nepal are celebrated with grandeur all over the country.
In this transformation, Nepal has seen a lot of tragedies, bloodshed, revolutions, bullets, deaths, and dreams. Today is the day of reviewing all of them and calculating how far we ran towards the dream of a newer and prosperous Nepal.
People's Movement of 62 and 63 BS,
After the Second People's Movement of 62 and 63 BS, the autocratic monarchy fell to its knees on Baishakh 11. After a decade-long armed conflict in Nepal, Maoists, and other political parties agreed and started a combined revolution against the autocratic monarch. With the success of the People's Movement, the warring CPN-Maoists returned to the peace process.
While celebrating Democracy Day to commemorate the end of King Gyanendra's direct rule after the 19-day protest, many have expressed frustration and grievances on social media. Certainly, widespread corruption, inequality, factional strife,, and unhealthy competition for power have pushed the country away from the mainstream of development. However, 16 years ago today, the conflicting parties also came to the mainstream of politics and agreed to draw a blueprint for a new Nepal.
The former King Gyanendra Shah had gone out of the Narayanhiti Durbar by handing over the ruling power to the Nepali people, thus the journey of constitution assembly was started. Almost a decade long constitution-making efforts and two episodes of the election, Nepal finally crafted and drafted its new constitution on the Asoj 3rd of 2072 BS.
Meaningful wishes of 17th Loktantra Diwas.
Hanuman Jayanti
Who is Hanuman?
Hanuman is a mysterious character, mysterious and mischievous in several aspects. Hanuman, a favorite character of children with numerous activities cited in the Ramayana often comes to mind when we think of devotion, power, innocence, and war. Hanuman Chalisa "Widely recited ReciteduReligioussBook, a default book, widely referred to and carried out by the majority of Hindu Sanatana followers worldwide.
Anecdote- Hanuman eats the sun
He crossed mountains, flew towards the sky to eat the sun, thinking it to be a mango, and opened his chest to prove to Mother Sita his loyalty, he defeated "Rahu" a malefic planet that stopped Hanuman on his pursuit of consuming the sun, Hanuman manifests courage and protection. Hanuman is mentioned in the Mahabharata, Puranas, and also in some Jain texts. Hanuman Jayanti is commemorated to celebrate the birthday of Hanuman Ji, the monkey god.
Ramcharitramanas of Tulsidas
Different aspects and contributions of Hamuna are remembered and worshiped on Hanuman Jayanti. I begin with an ancient saying derived from the Ramcharitramanas of Tulsidas, where he crafts stating that "If you want lord Rama to dismiss all your guilt and sorrows, you can only reach Lord Rama through Hanuman." Today is the perfect day for this, Chaitra is an important month when a lot of spiritual and religious discourses happen around the majority of Hindu Sanatana temples. Hanuman's unyielding devotion to Lord Rama and his selfless devotion to God's power have always been an example to mankind. Hanuman is one of the biggest embodiments of Karma Yogi (Yogi whose meditation and devotion are reflected in hard work, service, and sacrifice.) Hanuman is a living god, his existence is beyond the cycle of life and death.
I am a humble messenger of Sri Rama.
Hanuman said, "I am a humble messenger of Sri Rama. I have come here to serve Rama, to do His work. By the command of Lord Rama, I have come here. I am fearless by the Grace of Lord Rama. I am not afraid of death. I welcome it if it comes while serving Lord Rama."
In return for his unconditional love, Lord Rama granted him everlasting life. He promised that he would be worshipped alongside Rama and that his idol would be placed next to his.
Hanuman can swim seven oceans in a single blow, seize clouds, move mountains, break clouds, and fly as swiftly as bird Garuda, set fire to the tail, and burn down entire Lanka. He even sent back Yamaraj (God of Death) when Yamaraj arrived to mark Rama's death; however, ascetics cursed Hanuman for forgetting his power.
When asked to bid farewell to Rama after the war with Ravana, Hanuman desired to stay on this planet. Lord Rama had given Hanuman's wish to remain in the earth till Ram's name goes on in the world.
Hanuman Jayanti can be celebrated and commemorated in a congregation or also individually, wishes of a meaningful Hanuman Jayanti. May this Chatra Shukla Poornima deliver you the gravity of Hauman's power manifestation, may we all get rid of our troubles and worries and gain strength to overcome every difficulty with ease.
Poornima Vrata
The dates of each full moon are considered sacred and celebrated as a festival. The date of the full moon is called Purnima/ Poornima in Sanskrit.
The full moon has special significance for donation, Yagnas, holy bath, donation, and invocation. It is believed that fasting on this day will take away the pain and also get rid of the Pitri Dosha. Although the Baishakh of 2078 BS has started, the dates of the previous year have not been completed yet this year. Today is Chaitra Poornima.
There is a tradition of fasting on the Poornima and worshiping Satyanarayana. It is believed that bathing in the morning on this Poornima and offering sweets, fruits, and flowers to Lord Shiva, Vishnu and Lakshmi will be beneficial throughout the year. It is considered necessary to give argha to the moon in the evening.
Of course, Chaitra Poornima is also celebrated as Hanuman Jayanti. However, today is Chartudashi Tithi and it is customary to fast today for tomorrow's Poornima. According to the Tithi, the new year will start from tomorrow. On Chaitra Poornima, Gayatri Mantra is recited and Bhagwat Gita is studied and recited. Happy Chaitra Poornima fast. May the welfare of the vratalu's be, and may the glory of their vrat be the welfare of the whole world.
Baisakh Snan starts
न माधवसमो मासों न कृतेन युगं समम्।
न च वेदसमं शास्त्रं न तीर्थं गंगया समम्।।
स्कंदपुराण, वै वै मा. 2/1
That is, there is no month like Vaishakh, no age like Satya Yuga, no scripture like Veda, and no pilgrimage like Gangaji. Baisakhi bath has started from Chaitra Purnima. Welcome and good luck to all who go on pilgrimage, go to the pool, take a holy bath and remember God.
The last day of Shukla Paksha is the full moon day. On this tithi, the moon is the brightest and magnificent. It is believed that fasting on this day brings immense lunar grace to health, prosperity, and peace. On the full moon day, Lord Shiva and Vishnu are especially worshiped. Special worship to Lord Vishnu is done in the form of Satya Narayan Puja. Satya Narayan Puja is usually performed whenever possible, although the fruits of this puja performed on the day of the full moon are very abundant.
From a scientific point of view, it is said that gravity will have a great effect on the earth on the day of the full moon and self-purification will be done by fasting on this day and remembering the name of God. By fasting on this day, the metabolic process will be strengthened, gastric problems will be solved and positive energy will increase in the body.
This day is fasted from sunrise in the morning to moonrise in the evening. Some people observe this fast without drinking water, while others observe this fast by eating only one meal and eating no salt (alino) food. In the evening, after the moonrise, the fast ends with the sighting of the moon. Happy Jestha Shukla Purnima to everyone this year.
Let there be an end to the flood and landslide, let there be the protection of both religion and the followers of religion.
World book and copyright day
Every year April 23rd is a celebration of Books and the copyright of creators.
What is world book and copyright day?
This is a symbolic day for world literature, this is a day when several prominent authors took their last breath, William Shakespeare, Miguel Cervantes, and Inca Garcilaso De La Ve Ga died on the day. Upon a conference of UNESCO on 1995 AD held in France, April 23rd was declared as a global day of Book and Copyright. This day advocates for creativity, diversity, and equal access to knowledge. The copy and photocopy culture is creating a huge tragedy on the author's side. Authors depict their society from their creation in their paper through their ink, from Valmiki to Veda Vyas, from Shakespeare to Wordsworth, from Gorky to Chekov everyone translated their ideas, society, and incidents in their papers, in their books which shall last for centuries and centuries to come.
Words and feelings are not for sale, these are public assets and a source of knowledge for generations to come. Let's increase our reading habits, Books are now transformed into e-books, audiobooks, and several digital forms but the importance of reading, assimilating, and contemplating contents into human minds is the same.
How is World Book and Copyright Day observed?
Each year, on April 23 April, celebrations take place all over the world to recognize the scope of books - a link between the past and the future, a bridge between generations and across cultures. On this occasion, UNESCO and the international organizations representing the three major sectors of the book industry - publishers, booksellers, and libraries—selected the World Book Capital for a year to maintain, through its initiatives, the impetus of the day’s celebrations.
What is copyright?
It is a legal concept, enacted by most governments, giving authors or creators of original works exclusive rights, usually for a limited time. Basically, it is the right to copy. It also gives the copyright holder the right to be credited for the work and other, related rights. So, it is an intellectual property form.
