Bhaumashtami Vrata । Shitalashtami Vrata । World Autism Awareness Day । SEE 2080-Compulsory Science and Technology

    Bhaumasthami Vrata
Any asthami that falls on Tuesday is very special and is revered as Bhaumasthami . Followers of Sanatan Dharma can celebrate and remember every festival in their way. The practice of fasting for spiritual fruits on this day is unique. In Bhaumashtami fast, especially worship of Mars and planetary peace is also done. There are many fruits of worshiping Shakti on the eighth day. There is a tradition of worshiping and adoring Gorakhkali Bhagwati in Bhaumashtami, especially in the temple of Bhagwati Gorakhkali in Gorkha. This asthami is also known as Shitalashtami and people fast on this reverence too.

As in other vrata, it is customary to get up in the morning to take a bath, sing hymns, worship and study the holy books and meditate. Good luck to everyone on this year's Bhoomshtami.

    Shitalaasthami vrata

In the months of Chaitra, Baishakh, Jyeshtha, and Asar, on the eighth day of Krishna paksha, the fast of Shitala Ashtami falls. The Shitalashtami fast, which invokes and worships Shitala Bhagwati to protect oneself from the effects of natural calamities and diseases, has its significance and achievement.

In almost 365 days of the year, every day is a unique celebration with spiritual and religious significance. Many important tithis and dates are disappearing in the Sanatan civilization, which is full of excitement and special worship. Hamro Patro, the most downloaded mobile application in Nepal, has been defining these days of eternal civilization through technology.

The Shitalashtami fast is also called Basauda in the Terai region and Basera in the Kathmandu Valley. This summer fast is specially worshiped to ward off wounds and dizziness. It is believed that the stove should not be lit in Vratalu's house on this day, so it is customary to make offerings and prasad one day in advance and offer them to Sheetla Bhagwati the next day.

    The Vrata Mantra
    वन्दे,हंशीतलांदेवीं रासभस्थांदिगम्बराम्॥
    मार्जनीकलशोपेतां सूर्पालंकृतमस्तकाम्॥

The meaning of this mantra is (I worship Bhagwati Sheetala, who is sitting on the back of a donkey, Digambar, holding a broom in her hand, and holding an urn, carrying a nanglo on her head).

Good luck to everyone on this fast. Take care of yourself next summer.

    Autism Awareness Day

Autism Awareness Day is an annual event observed on April 2nd to raise awareness and understanding of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and to promote the inclusion and acceptance of individuals with autism. The day was first observed in 2008, following a unanimous vote by the United Nations General Assembly to designate April 2nd as World Autism Awareness Day.

    What is Autism?
Autism spectrum disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects communication, social interaction, and behavior. It is estimated that 1 in 54 children in the United States are diagnosed with autism, and the prevalence is increasing globally.
The aim of Autism Awareness Day
The aim of Autism Awareness Day is to increase awareness of the challenges faced by individuals with autism and their families, and to promote acceptance and understanding of the condition. The day is also an opportunity to highlight the importance of early diagnosis and intervention, as well as to showcase the talents and strengths of individuals with autism.
Autism is typically diagnosed in early childhood, although it can sometimes be diagnosed later in life. Some of the common symptoms of autism include:

Difficulty with social interaction and communication
    Repetitive behaviors or routines
Sensory sensitivities or differences in how senses are processed
Difficulty with change or transitioning between activities or environments
Intense interests in specific topics or objects
The cause of autism is not fully understood, but research suggests that both genetic and environmental factors may play a role. There is no cure for autism, but early intervention and treatment can help improve outcomes and quality of life for individuals with autism.

It's important to note that people with autism can have many strengths and abilities, and should be valued and included in all aspects of society. Autism acceptance and understanding is crucial in creating a more inclusive and supportive world for individuals with autism.

    Theme 2024:
#Awareness – #Acceptance – #Appreciation: Moving from surviving to thriving. Each continent's programming will be led by an ION (Institute Of Neurodiversity) country lead.

Hamro Patro - Connecting Nepali Communities
Hamro Patro is one of the first Nepali app to include Nepali Patro, launched in 2010. We started with a Nepali Calendar mobile app to help Nepalese living abroad stay in touch with Nepalese festivals and important dates in Nepali calendar year. Later on, to cater to the people who couldn’t type in Nepali using fonts like Preeti, Ganesh and even Nepali Unicode, we built nepali mobile keyboard called Hamro Nepali keyboard.
