World Telecommunication Day | World High Blood Pressure Day

People staying at home because of the risk of corona infection are saying "Hello" on incoming calls, sometimes on mobile, sometimes on messenger. From the availability of hospital beds to the condition of ventilators, from doctor's consultation to the health of family members, it has become possible to understand from home. This is possible because of telecommunication inventions.
With the invention of the telephone, the word hello took on a global dimension and resounded everywhere. Hello, what is it? Hello and its integrals. Phones or telecommunications, "KarnaFusFus" in technical Sanskrit, mobiles, or many other names we say. Yes, the scientist Graham Bell was the originator of this phone, but there are arguments that the credit for inventing the word hello goes to another great scientist, Thomas Edison. Not to mention the last century, some say that Grahambell's girlfriend's name was Hello, so he used the name, Hello to immortalize the world through his invention usage.
In any case, today's age is the age of mobile phones, the internet, and other means of communication where the world is available at a click. From movies to songs, from food to clothes, and from any corner of the world, the Internet provides instant interviews and conversations with people or topics, this device "Phone" makes everything available with a click of thumbs. In the Puranas, there is the concept of the Kalpa Tree, such a tree that fulfills every desire is called Kalpa tree, and telecommunication also functions as a Kalpa tree in today's life.
In this sense, the age of communication has also got an epoch in the form of the internet and by using various gadgets, we are roaming in the free internet world, right? This landmark change in telecommunications technology has made further progress since the end of the 19th century.
Otherwise, in our society, some generations have to wait for their turn to make another call on Saturday, call people, and send letters through the post, courier, message, and all over the world. There is no need to turn over the old thing because there are many of us who stay up all night to get the SIM of a normal mobile and we would have to bear the roaming fee of the mobile even after a long time if the mobile of one area was taken to another area.
I hope we still remember all these evolutions of telecom in our part of the world. I would like to present a few pages on Nepali telecommunication history: The first telephone line was connected to Kathmandu in 1913, and a year later, in 1914, a telephone line was connected from Kathmandu to Raxaul, India. In 1936, a trunk line was established from Kathmandu to Dhankuta.
In 1950, an exchange of 100 line telephone capacity was established in the valley for the use of the royal palace and the then-Rana family. These phones were available only to the ruling class. Only in 1962, a 300-line capacity exchange was connected to Kathmandu for public use. It was built in 1965 with a capacity of one thousand lines. In 1974, the microwave link was expanded. The digital telephone exchange was connected in 1983.
In 1995, the latest achievement of communication technology was the connection of an optical fiber network. In 1997, Birgunj (Raxaul Optical Fiber) connected directly to the Telecommunications Corporation of India. In 1999, mobile phones were first introduced in Nepal. The Internet was started in 2000. In 2003, prepaid mobiles were expanded.CDMA phone service was launched in 2005. GPRS and 3G services were launched in 2007 on the expanded mobile network across Nepal. Subsequent achievements are now witnessed by the new generation. But slowly our generations are growing up with the record dimensions of mobile, internet, Facebook, YouTube, and other technologies and telecommunications. Exploring the challenges and opportunities that came with the development of such telecommunication technology by the world community, today, through the World Telecommunication Day and Information Technology Society Day, describes the chain of human development. This day is celebrated on 17th May every year by informing the citizens about communication technology.
The first International Telegraph Conference held on May 17, 1865, laid the groundwork for the establishment of the International Telecommunication Union. Telecommunication Day has been observed around the world since 2005 to commemorate that day.
The slogan of the Telecommunication Day of 2021 is Transformation in Challenging Times. Telecommunication day has lobbied for a much-needed transformation, embracing a lifestyle that has been made easier.
This day is also being celebrated as Information Society Day. World Telecommunication Day is being celebrated in Nepal by discussing the usefulness of information and communication tools for social change and economic development.
Society needs a person who can speak kindly, not just chat, not only post sharing, but also a friend who shares pain and happiness, not just a Facebook or YouTube page, but also a place where everyone can sit and have tea and talk. Let Telecommunication Day recognize these dimensions of humanity. Our phones ring many times throughout the day, may every time the good news is received, hope gets communicated. The new generation to see and understand the world outside of mobile and computer screens. May the role of telecommunication and digital humanity did not let this pandemic be an infodemic, let the true and meaningful information flow.
World High Blood Pressure Day
The next most important day in May is celebrated by the world community on the 17th of May every year. World High Blood Pressure Day, generally High Blood Pressure is seen in the bodies of many people all over the world. High Blood Pressure is also called
Hypertension, this day was first observed in 2005. Changing lifestyles, packaged foods, processed foods, busy lifestyles, and the multiplication of desires and the competition for unwanted wealth and progress are making people hypertensive. We all need to be vigilant.
Even during the current Corona panic, the risk of high blood pressure is exacerbated by stress and limitations. This year, the slogan of 2021 is "Measure your blood pressure accurately", advocating the need for everyone to measure their blood pressure from time to time.
People who can go to the bar every day don't have to get up in the morning to do some daily exercise, people are more interested in food and packets than in normal household food and have unwanted stress in life. We are all at risk of hypertension. Hypertension is a silent but frightening health problem of modern society, it is necessary to pay attention to. There is a need for a turn of peace and equality in these generations that have forgotten to live a life of gain and loss. It is important to keep blood pressure in the right place, usually, the upper pressure is systolic 120 and lower diastolic 80. Is it possible to take a little time today and check your blood pressure? Remember that high blood pressure is one of the most important and dangerous causes of cardiac disease. It causes renal diseases, thyroid problems, and various neurological diseases. It is better to check the body from time to time instead of taking medicine and going to the doctor all year round, we need to be aware of this.
It is very good to stay away from smoking and alcohol, but if we can't, we can get rid of many diseases by using less, exercising daily, and engaging in sports. Daily exercise can make you feel tired and gives you a good sleep, people who work night shifts and stay up late at night are more likely to develop hypertension. Blood pressure has a fixed pressure, both high and low are harmful. Make time for yourself, bank balance may give you happiness but there is no greater happiness than health. Pay attention to diet, exercise, and rest.
