Shankaracharya Jayanti: We need another Shankaracharya today, we really do.

Jagatguru Adi Shankaracharya is a champion thinker and a charmer, an unchallenged king of Santana philosophy who appeared right on time when entire world was sunk in a quagmire of superstitions and scriptural misinterpretations.

To understand the herculean contribution made by Jagatguru, we must go back to 8th century CE, the religious and spiritual essence was rampant during then and the rigid and exploitive ritualism was highly prevailing in society. Because of this rigid and exploitive ritualism, rejecting Vedas and accepting Budhhism was happening, villages and cities were transforming into anti Sanatan ideas and the religious and spiritual transition was creating a huge wave of Budhhsim into Indian sub-continent. The essence of Sanatan philosophy with its all-embracing message of love, compassion and pervasiveness of humankind was completely lost in the blind ritualistic performance.
Shankaracharya also represents the most riotous sardonicism in the universe of philosophy, he is turned hidden Buddhist by Vedantis and Buddhist curse him for ending the wave of Buddhism in Indian subcontinent and reestablish Vedas.

However, a single person who only lived till his mid-thirties was able to study Vedas, interpret them, reinterpret them and travel across Indian subcontinent, organized debates and created a balance in society through delivering the knowledge of Vedas. His philosophical prowess satisfied the Vedic scholars and his sharp intellect and magical articulation defeated his philosophical rivalries. Layman were hugely pleased by his simple yet pious way of devotion, his bhajans mesmerized the crowds and the Sanatan Philosophy was reestablished with all its glory. I still can't figure out why some historians and writers blamed him as a hidden Buddhist, plausibly this could be because he redeemed falsely imposed worthless priests and ended the academic imperils of Sanatan manifest.

On the other side, Buddhist curse him for ending the wave of expanding Budhhsim but that is nothing but a conspiracy. I belong to Nepal which is world's only Hindu capital (Former world's only Hindu Kingdom) but an exclusive spiritual land which holds a mesmerizing mixture of Hinduism and Buddhism. We have temples and idols where the same idols or statues are named after different gods of Hindu and Buddhist philosophies. Buddha is worshiped equally as other Hindu deities and god, ancient pond of Kathmandu valley is believed to have cut by Buddhist deity "Majushree" and people from both faith worship him. An idol at Pashupati is worshiped as Manjushree by Buddhist however, the same idol is worshipped as "Saraswoti" by Hindus. This harmony and integration was commenced and institutionalized by Jagatguru, he redefined Bhakti as a tool to achieve eternal oneness with the ultimate energy.

Shankaracharya started writing major commentaries on scriptural texts at the age of 12 and concluded his every commentaries and redefinition by the age of 16, he was a true son of god, an incarnation sent to reestablish and reconstruct the spiritual and religious essence of society. He expanded the narrow philosophies and drab systems of worship, he established 4 asrams in 4 corners of India and institutionally placed his four disciples to propagate Advita through them. These Ashrams are the institutions which still institutionalize and safeguards Sanatan philosophies and construct researches and Sastrathas. Lend me million words, still they will not complete the articulation upon the contribution of Jagatguru, I must say that I am not bringing his birthplace or family or village in today's context. Jagaturu must not be confined in all these minimal identifications, an incarnation of Lord Shiva only lived till 32 years and achieved all these.

Happy birth anniversary to Jagatguru, we need another Shankaracharya today, we do.

    Ramanujacharya Jayanti

The birth anniversary of Ramanujacharya, a devotee of Vishnu, is celebrated on this date every year. Like Shankaracharya, Ramanujacharya is an eternal philosopher, although Ramanujacharya's philosophies are Vishnu-centric. He was born in 1017 AD in ancient Madras. He came to Kancheepuram under the pursuit of Veda study, he studied Adwita Vedanta under teacher YadavPrakash.

Let's honor this Guru Ramanuja Acharya on his birthday, he is a revered guru in the ocean of BhaktiMarga lineage. He also initiated the Bhakti poetry and saints of Alvar poetry. His mantra was "Om Namo Narayana", his utmost belief was upon a monotheistic manifest where lord Vishnu was the center.

Ramanujacharya, a campaigner for the Bhakti campaign, is also considered a guide for Vaishnavism.

He wrote his commentary on Brahma Sutra which is known as the Sri Bhasya, he was a profound scholar of Sanskrit language and he also crafted Srimad Vagwat Geeta in the Sanskrit language. He traveled across the length and breadth of the Indian subcontinent to disseminate the path of wisdom and reformation. He is also known for his balanced verdict upon the dispute of Vaisnavism and Saivism.
We need more Ramanujacharya's in this world, may Bhakti magnify across the globe.

World Day for safety and health at work

People spend most of their time in the work environment and in a changing world people are becoming more and more engaged in their work. Generally, there is a rule of working 8 hours a day, which is one third of 24 hours.

Even in the most ordinary cases, working people spend one third of their day at work, while in overtime or other deadlines, more time is spent in office or work. Moreover, those who go for foreign employment live abroad for many years, they spend most of their time in a working environment.

It is important for the safety and health condition of the person who spends the most time in such work to be good and of good quality.
Even today, thousands of workers around the world are forced to work in risky and hazardous environments. Various airlines are neglecting safety and flying their employees daily in old and dilapidated crafts while health workers are forced to work in the midst of various harmful radiations in a dangerous manner.

From ordinary workers to professionals with special skills, they are forced to work in a way that is unsafe for work and harmful to health. In Nepal too, the corpses of many foreign workers are returned to the coffins every day and most of the deaths are due to insecurity and unhealthy working environment.

Wearing masks in the dust and whistling traffic police to the public vehicle assistant hanging on the door of the vehicle and shouting and calling passengers, they are forced to act at risk. Many such issues are discussed and advocated today.

Various trade unions and professional rights associations today hold street rallies and gatherings to spread awareness on the issue. According to various surveys, 6300 workers die every day in the world due to work related risks.

There should be an environment where people can go to job, work and return safely, and there should be no shortage of health and safety of the workers. Compulsory health and life insurance is a must for workers in hazardous work and for foreign workers, sweat and hard work at work must be delivered but not death.

Meaningful wishes and alarms on this global day for safety and health at work, this day is observed on April 28th every year.
