वैशाख शुक्ल प्रतिपदा
Shree Swasthani Brata Samapti | Magh Snan Sampati | World NGO Day
The recitation of the stories describing the glory of Shri Swasthani Mata, which started on the day of Poush Shukla Purnima, is coming to an end today. From today, the book of Shri Swasthani Parameshwari will be immersed for a year. By the grace of God, until the book is re-opened next year, good news and inspiring words will be spread in the hearts and minds of every Nepali, our best wishes!
The important part of this special month is that the storytelling and listening together of all the members of the family strengthens the family ties by maintaining harmony and effective communication in the family. It has also played an important role in social harmony and unity as there will be community gatherings on the occasion of the closing.
In this way, the devotees, who have been fasting for a month and eating the fruits to purify their soul and livings through the grace of goddesses. It is also customary to invite neighbors and relatives to have a Satvik meal and to offer Tika and prasad of Swasthani Mata.
Praise be to all who hear and embrace the story of God, most of the places in this story described in various regions including Shleshamantak Forest, Sumeru Mountain, periphery of Kailash Mountain, Guheshwari and Shalindi are in Nepal, in this sense Nepal is the beloved land of God. May God grant the welfare of all Nepali.
Magh Snan Sampati
Profound eastern poet Kabir wrote a verse on the beauty of Magh month.
‘माघ मकर गति रवि जब होई, तीरथपतिहि आव सब कोई।’
At Magh, the speed of the sun is gradually increasing and the pilgrimage and festivals are being proximal, Says Kabir.
Now we want to describe the Magh Snan in connection with the glory of the month of Magh, this bath starts on the day of Poush Shukla Purnima. The pilgrimage done in the month of Magh has great significance in human life. In the month of Magh, there is special coordination and closeness of human life and Panchatatva. Our body is made up of earth, water, fire, sky, and air which are called Panchatatwa. By real taps we can make the effect of panchatatva positive on us, Magh bath is one of these taps.
गंगे यमुने चैव गोदावरि सरस्वती।
कावेरी नर्मदे सिन्धोर्जलअस्मिन्सन्निधिं कुरु॥’
By chanting the above mantra, bathing in the holy rivers communicates holiness to the body, our body is 70 percent water and bathing in rivers and water resources destroys the most defects and diseases of the body.
The Magh bath started from Poush Purnima and continues till Magh Shukla Purnima. Today, this bath is coming to an end. May the splendor and glory of the month of Magh prosper in all, may all be victorious.
World NGO Day
In 1945, the word "non-governmental organization" for the first time found a formal place in an article of the newly created United Nations Charter. There, the definition of a non-governmental organization is an organization that is free from any influence of the government of any country and only participates in non-profit activities. Since then, there have been many non-governmental organizations in each country that draw the attention of local issues to the big nations or forums in each city or district.
The United Nations celebrates World Non-Governmental Organization Day on February 27 every year to further the contributions made by many such NGOs to the upliftment of society. The basic premise of the day is to "celebrate together."
Today, NGOs at the local, regional and international levels try to make clear to the world the importance of their contribution to society and other activities. In 2021, the world is celebrating the eighth NGO Day.
The significance of 2021 Non-Governmental Organization Day will be different for today after the Corona terror struck the world and nations. Our utmost thanks to the Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) who have voluntarily and selflessly helped the government and the community in their odds.
Today is also a day to remember all those volunteers, members, and supporters for their contribution to society. Many people have somehow dedicated themselves to making the work and projects of such NGOs a success. Today, we must all once again remember and honor those selfless allies. The respect we give to those people will encourage other people to cooperate with such NGOs.
Non-governmental organizations are the need of the society, and the contribution of these organizations has been incomparable in a developing country like Nepal. Respect and best wishes to all.
